Khadicha Kosimjonova is a junior at Baldwin High School and started working on creating the club at the end of her freshman year. When she was just a few months old, her parents immigrated to America from a developing country with patriarchal double standards in education and careers. This has affected her perspective and has always left her wanting to help women attain fair chances at education and careers. Because of the misogynistic undertones of this country, she has always preached women’s equality and freedom.
